Why would you want a stick in a big cruiser like this?

Does it have 295,000 miles?!

something oppo hive mind would say :P
the manuals tend to have more speeds, better for fuel econ. I dont mind autos as long as its a 1/2 decent one

Do it. But first

It's probably a ZF 4-speed. I have no direct experience with that one, but I did own an E21 with the ZF 3-speed. It was fine.

Total NP. Judging by the neighborhood, probably a 1-2 owner/collector car that's been pampered, and not some ossified baller-on-a-budget hooptie. Go for it!

That's because there isn't really one, Automatic. But blah.

Allegedly

That would be tons of fun, I'd imagine. But both are fine in this car, the 4HP is good, and this is a total NP.

Trans is one reason, 530i wheels another, radio a third.
Great price...

its a deal there will be some things you will need to fix and also the HVAC system is something you will need to sort. but that motor is super super reliable. But the radiators in those cars cause the car to run hot in the summer so look at options on that. ALso there are some proper BBS rims from that year that are floating around.

Drive one. Btw if you have a chance the 1985~1987 745i turbo is mental on power - 81-83 were not that fun. as for the OP if you can find a LSD unit from an M6 in that car you will like it. ALso for the mental part of this BMW made a 745 South African spec car - it had the M6 motor in it 3.5 DOHC with the Auto. Only sold in South Africa.

Only issue is going to be expensive parts and expensive repairs if it breaks beyond your capability to repair. And it is going to break.

That was what I noticed immediately - non-standard wheels. I thought the steelies that came with the car were better-looking than any other wheel you could put on it. Same with the 2002.
